About

The Sudbury Kart Club started in 1995 with a group of people who had the same vision – “To Race Karts!” The Northern Ontario Racing Series was formed, and the club joined the governing body of Canadian motorsport at the time, ASN Canada FIA.

Our present membership of over 20 includes drivers, associate members and volunteers from the ages of 8 to 55+. We presently have members from Sudbury and the surrounding areas.  We have also had competitors from as far north as Temiskaming Shores. The club is a registered non-profit organization, which returns all profit back into the club’s operations for improving the facilities and rewarding its drivers.

The Sudbury Kart Club offers cadet, junior and senior racing classes. Each class is governed by the Canadian Karting Regulations, a comprehensive set of regulations provided by the GDS ASN Canada. These regulations allow the racers in each class to compete at a similar level. Competition kart racing is the fastest growing form of motorsport in the world. It provides all the fun and excitement of full-scale, high-performance racing at a fraction of the cost. It appeals to people of all ages who want the challenge of competition at an affordable price.

Safety at the Sudbury Kart Club is foremost, and the club provides a driver training school for all new drivers. Members of the Sudbury Kart Club enjoy an atmosphere of sportsmanship; friendship and members do not hesitate to help each other out.
